One Stop is a rehabilitation center to provide refuge, groceries, work, and clothing suitable for job interviews.
Phase 1 is tackling food deserts by making groceries accessible.
East Oakland is a food desert: "residential geographic spaces, typically in urban settings, where low-income residents have limited or no access to retail food establishments with sufficient variety at an affordable cost.”
Having a lot of family members residing in Oakland made this an issue close to my heart and I want to do everything in my power to fix it. My goal is to have a food truck to make groceries and healthy meal options accessible to the poor, disabled, and even the homeless in Oakland.
Our current goal is $10k
Total costs to get started will be about $14,538
As of August 4, 2020, we are $6780
